The following data contains the “Top Ranked” Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). The list does not include colleges and universities that have an “open admissions” policy and hence, Prairie View A&M University does not appear on the list.

Instructions:

Analyze the data and create four different graphics. This means that you can only submit one (1) pie chart; you may not create two pie charts to represent two different sets of information. The four (4) graphics you choose should be found in the graphics chapter of our textbook (chapter 12 of technical communication textbook 9th or 10th edition). Do not use graphics that are not discussed in that chapter. You will be penalized (i.e., lose points) if you do so. Graph used in the chapter are grouped bar graph, subdivided bar graph, 100-percent bar graph, deviation bar graph, stratum graph( also called area graph), pictograph.

The four (4) graphics should represent the following:
• Acceptance rate – One (1) graphic must communicate the acceptance rate of each HBCU.
• Average SAT & ACT score – One (1) graphic must communicate the avg. SAT & ACT score of each HBCU.
• Enrollment rate — One (1) graphic must communicate the enrollment rate of each HBCU.
Please note: The enrollment rate is a percentage of the students who enrolled (E) at the HBCU out of the total number of students accepted (A). So, the fraction would look like (E/A) = Enrollment rate
• Location type – One (1) graphic must communicate the location type of each HBCU.
Please note: The location types are Urban, Rural, and Suburban. You are responsible for labeling the location type for each HBCU. To determine the location type, you must do some independent research. You can determine that only two of the three available location types are represented by the HBCUs on this list.
